Periploca angustifolia

Synonym: Periploca laevigata auct.

Small shrub with short, stiff branches, rarely upper ones slightly scandent. Leaves hardly petioled, linear, acute or obtuse, coriaceous. Flowers few together, not exceeding the leaves. In the southeast coast of Spain, Periploca laevigata is a xeric thorny-shrub well-adapted to moderate grazing and it can be used in restoration programs.
