Anacyclus radiatus subsp. coronatus

Endemic to Morocco and Canary Islands

Synonyms: Anacyclus radiatus var. coronatus Murb., Anacyclus radiatus var. coronatus subvar. discolor Maire

Anacyclus radiatus is a robust annual herb easily distinguished from other Anacyclus species by the inner spathulate involucral bracts with expanded, membranous erose, hyaline apices. In southern Morocco, the white-rayed forms of subsp. coronatus completely replace subsp. radiatus (yellow ligules).
